Pugh to Reach Out to Speaker Pelosi During Her Visit to Detroit

Detroit, MI – Council President Pugh will reach out to Speaker Nancy Pelosi during her visit to Detroit.

Pugh will meet with Speaker Pelosi’s Director of Intergovernment Affairs Cheryl Parker Rose today at 4:30 p.m.

“We are excited to welcome Speaker Pelosi to Detroit as we showcase what we do best at the North American International Auto Show,” said Council President Pugh. “We want to ensure that before Speaker Pelosi returns to Washington, D.C. she fully understands what our city is facing and the ways she can keep America strong by investing in Detroit.”

During the meeting Pugh plans to discuss trade, healthcare, national security, job training for Detroiters and assistance for our city’s budget deficit.
