We Can't Move Forward Until You Mail It Back!!!!
This spring, Detroiters will take
part in a very important effort: The U.S. Census. In mid-March, Detroit households will receive a Census
form, which will help determine the number of people who live in Detroit. The City of Detroit encourages you to answer the 10
short questions and then mail the form back by April 1.
It is important that everyone be
counted, so that we can get our fair share of $400 billion per year in federal
funds for schools, senior centers, job training, hospitals, road projects and
emergency services. In fact, Detroit stands to lose as much as $1500 for
every person not counted.
When you take 10 minutes to answer
10 questions you help Detroit get what it needs for the next 10
years. It’s easy. It’s important. It’s
safe. We can’t move forward until you
mail it back. The 2010 Census. Detroit Counts!
