The Detroit City Council Evening Meeting provides an opportunity for Detroit citizens and organizations to submit prior to the meeting, their specific concerns, the addresses of problem locations, or other community related issues.
Representatives from various City of Detroit departments will be present to note complaints, provide assistance, and explain departmental plans and policies.
Please note, in order to better ensure the safety of all participants, the Legislative Detail of the Detroit Police Department will conduct security screening for all persons attending this meeting.

The Detroit Works Project team invites you to attend a community meeting in your area!
Learn about what’s impacting neighborhoods across the city and hear some of the thoughts being discussed to help get us moving in the right direction – both short and long term. There will also be an opportunity for you to give ideas and information on what you’re already doing to make Detroit work.

See You at Tonight's NAACP Open Discussion!!!

Tonight the NAACP is holding an “Open Discussion to Develop Solutions for: Community, Policing, and Violence Prevention - Building Bridges that Work!” The discussion will be held at Martin Luther King, Jr. High School and will run from 5:30-8:30 p.m. MLK High School is located at 3200 E. Lafayette, Detroit, MI 48207.
City Council President Charles Pugh will be a part of the panel discussion, where do we go to get some help - let the people know! Other topics of discussion will include: the current culture of law enforcement is it the right one and the culture of community is it really understood?
The event is free and open to the public.
